Reconstruction (Reconstructed), (2014)
HD video with sound, 03:56 min.

Reconstruction (Reconstructed), was inspired by the true story of Le Havre's destruction in WW2 and subsequent reconstruction. It was shot on location in the city, now designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its harbor, which is full of the original city's rubble, now turned into beach pebbles. The masked figures in the video tell the stories of two other cities: a fictional one in which a place eerily similar to Le Havre is destroyed by the moon, and another, of the Old City of Jerusalem, which is in fact buried under millennia of dust beneath today’s streets.
